Applications for the Development
We had the task of developing a Defender Rallye Raid Defender suspension with very high durability. This task included the design of reinforced damper mount on the front and rear axle, shock absorbers with rebound pressure & adjustment, suspension springs, tension and hydraulic axle stops. This was not easy task as the stresses on the Defender reached with 300 hp in the desert racing at speeds up to 160 km /H.
ALCON Brake Kit
We also delivered for the Rallye Raid Defender a Alcon braking system with 300 x 30 mm brake discs and larger calipers on both axles.

Drive train
The traction and the high load on the drive train was an important factor for durability. So called Torsen differentials were installed by Quaife to maximum traction at high speed to achieve in axles and transfer. The powertrain has been completely redesigned with ENGAGE4X4 floating axles, constant velocity joints and reinforced transfer gearbox shafts.
Suspension adjustment
The damper and the recordings were fully amplified and result in interaction with ENGAGE4X4 springs a perfect response to frequentially short bumps.
